Manchester Met Funded Internship Programme

Welcome to the 2019 InternVietnam programme funded by the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Manchester Metropolitan University. We are excited to offer a number of funded places to students from the departments of English, History, Politics and Philosophy, Sociology and Languages, Information and Communication. Internships take place during summer 2019.

PROGRAMME DETAILS

The Programme: You will complete an internship in your chosen sector and receive support from the InternVietnam Team at every stage; from application to alumni. This funded programme also includes accommodation in a furnished studio apartment, visa processing and comprehensive travel & health insurance.

Dates and Cost: We are excited to offer a number of funded places for 8-week summer internships starting in July 2019. The programme fee is covered in full by Manchester Metropolitan University, Faculty of Arts and Humanities.

What’s Included:

+ 8-week unpaid internship experience in your chosen sector
+ Free shared apartment accommodation
+ 24-hour in-country pastoral and emergency support from the InternVietnam on-site team
+ Free airport pick-up service and transfer to accommodation in Ho Chi Min City
+ Free visa support and application fees
+ Free comprehensive travel insurance
+ Pre-departure support from the InternVietnam team
+ Free welcome pack (incl. local SIM-card, travel card, T-shirt and introduction to the city)
+ Free in-country orientation programme
+ £800 travel grant

The funding provided will contribute towards the cost of studying abroad but may not cover all costs associated with taking up this opportunity. When considering applying for this opportunity, we would recommend that you research the cost of travel, accommodation and living expenses in-country. Costs associated with this opportunity include: international travel, transportation, food and other living costs. Typically, £800 should usually cover the majority of the cost of a return flight to Vietnam (depending on the time of year and time of booking).
